Greenwood Golf Course Pattaya City

The Greenwood Golf Club and Resort reopened in September 2007 after extensive renovation and redesign of the old course known as Noble Place Golf Resort.

Fast and Narrow Greens at the Greenwood

The Greenwood Golf Club and Resort was reopened on the First of September 2007 after extensive renovation, and redesigned by Peter Thomson who was a five time British Open Winner and Michael Wolveridge, an Australian who designed over 200 golf courses.

Previous to this, the course was known as Noble Place Golf Resort which originally opened in 1994.

The Greenwood Golf Club is a 27-Hole Golf Course, split into three courses of nine holes each a Par 36, and set in the picturesque hillside of Chonburi, a 40 minute drive from Pattaya.

The redesign introduced some very deep white sand bunkers littered throughout the course and they dominate some of the holes.

Nevertheless the fairways are large so good straight drives are in order to avoid these hazards. The fairways have been designed with a mogul effect to replicate a Scottish links course.

The course has a lot of large old trees with some lakes and ponds that will come into play too.

The greens are fast and narrow and heavily guarded by bunkers, making your approach shots interesting. The rough is very rough, littered with high lemongrass and surrounded by tropical forest hills that provide a spectacular backdrop.

The clubhouse features a large verandah where golfers can have a stunning view over courses A and B. The sun setting over the nearby hills is very memorable as well.

The restaurant bar offers western and Thai Cuisine as well as foreign beverages, there are ample lockers and nice changing rooms and a fully stocked pro shop with hire services of golfing equipment, shoes and umbrellas.

There is an additional Driving Range.

The Greenwood Golf Club and Resort is well known throughout the Pattaya area and it is one of the favourites for expats and locals - it is well worth the visit.
