Wetsuits for Snorkeling

Snorkeling with a wetsuit helps you keep warm. It does so by trapping a thin layer of water between the neoprene suit and your skin.

Your body will warm the tiny layer of water trapped inside. Thus, it provides you with a thermal layer of 'relatively' warm water compared to the ambient temperature.

The Different Kinds of Snorkeling Wetsuits

Snorkeling wetsuit brands are available in a large range of sizes, styles, colours, and thermal qualities.

You can buy snorkeling wetsuits through our online store facility at the scuba diving shop in Thailand.

The sizing and thickness of a wetsuit when used for its thermal benefit are important factors to consider.

Thus, it should feel comfortable, and close-fitting, in order to maximise its efficiency as an exposure suit.

Furthermore, a snorkeling wetsuit (or exposure suit) can protect you from many of the hazards associated with swimming in cold water (e.g. hypothermia).

Note: Wearing a good quality wetsuit also helps to protect you from getting sunburn and having a nasty collision with dangerous fish species, craggy rocks, or sharp boulders.
