If there is a typical domain of high society found anywhere in Thailand, most of the Polo and Sports Clubs will be worthy contenders.
This section contains information about the best places to play the Polo ball game at some of Pattaya's most luxurious gardens.
Polo is one of those trendy old ball games that most sports fans have heard about - but very few understand the rules.
Generally, four (4) team members ride on horseback, or an elephant, trying to score goals inside the Polo field.
Here's the thing:
They will win the game if they score more points than the opposition within the allotted time frame.
The main objective for Polo players is similar to that of hockey. Thus, hitting the ball through a goal scores a point for your team.
The width of the goalposts is 7.31 metres (8 yards) and there is no crossbar at the top. A typical Polo match will have four (4) chukkas, that last seven (7) minutes of actual play.
