Polo Clubs in Bangkok

If there's a typical domain of high society in the Thai capital city, the Royal Bangkok Sports Club (RBSC), and RBSC Polo Club subsidiary, are both worthy contenders.

This section contains information about the best horse riding facilities and places to play Polo ball game in some of Bangkok's most luxurious gardens.

Playing the Game of Polo in Bangkok Center

Polo is one of those trendy old ball games that most sports fans have heard about - but very few understand the rules.

Generally, four (4) team members ride on horseback, or an elephant, trying to score goals inside the Polo field.

Here's the thing:

They will win the game if they score more points than the opposition within the allotted time frame.

It is fair to say the objective for Polo players is similar to that of hockey. Thus, hitting the ball through a goal scores a point for your team.

The width of the goalposts is 7.31 metres (8 yards) and there is no crossbar at the top. A typical Polo match will have four (4) chukkas, that last seven (7) minutes of actual play.

Pro Tip: Another section explains how teams will be going 'trunk to trunk' to try and win the coveted King's Cup Elephant Polo Tournament in Thailand.
