PADI Divemasters who are in Active Status and with insurance where it is required, may conduct PADI Discover Scuba Diving programs in a pool or confined open water environment after successfully completing a Discover Scuba Diving internship with a PADI Scuba Instructor. The internship consists of conducting four separate PADI Discover Scuba Diving programs in a pool or confined open water environment under the direct supervision of a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. After completing the internship, the Divemaster DSD Leader should complete an application form that is signed by the certifying instructor to the local PADI Office for processing and authorization to teach Discover Scuba Diving Programs.
