Wreck Dives - The Benefits:
Mystery and curiosity is what draws most divers, sooner or later, to making a wreck dive. Most shipwrecks are found in deep water, which is why the Wreck Specialty Diver course is a natural companion to the PADI Deep Diver course and/or the PADI Nitrox course.

Deep Diving - Because many wrecks lay in deeper water, learning the techniques for deep diving would benefit all divers with intentions of making deep wreck dives.

Nitrox Diver - Nitrox Diving (enriched air nitrox) gives more no decompression dive time, allowing the diver to stay longer underwater, especially on repetitive dives. By having an increased amount of Oxygen and less Nitrogen, scuba divers can benefit from a longer dive time exploring the wreck.

Underwater Scooters - Wreck diving with 'Diver Propulsion Vehicles' (DPV's) allows the diver to cover a large area of the wreck without using too much effort for a relaxing dive.

PADI Master Scuba Diver - The PADI Wreck Diver specialty course can be credited towards the highest rating in recreational diving, the Master Scuba Diver.
