The PADI Digital Underwater Photography Specialty Course is the most flexible and popular dive package for anyone who has an interest in taking underwater photographs. There are two levels to the digital photography certification including a stand alone non-diving photography certification, and there is a separate underwater photographer specialty course that is available for users of conventional 'film' cameras.

Underwater photography is one of the most popular diving specialties, and the rise of digital underwater photography has made it easier and more fun than ever, including PADI certifications for snorkelers and non-divers. Taking place in a swimming pool or confined open water area, this certificate is a quick and easy introduction to great digital pictures.

PADI DUP specialty course (level one) - prerequisites:
PADI Open Water Diver (or have a qualifying certification from another organisation)
(minimum age: 10 years old)
or
Snorkelers can earn the 'non-diving' photography certification

Digital Underwater Photography - Learn about:

• Point-and-shoot cameras and their practicabilities
• White-balancing
• Color filters
• Taking photographs without external flash
• The PADI SEA method (shoot, examine, adjust) for great shots

Digital Photography - Learning Materials:
The PADI DUP crewpack is not included in the price* and the topics cover:

• Basic photography tips
• Strobe diagrams for a variety of effects
