Eminating from an IT computer background, I discovered diving just a few years ago. However, the joy and satisfaction that I get from teaching is what keeps me involved in this truly amazing sport. I started my teaching career in Australia, and then I had a spell of cold water diving in the Lakes of Germany. Moving into the Mediterranean islands for the summer, and then returning to Asia for the warm, blue waters of the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Siam.
Thailand diving is special to me. I particularly like wreck diving, and Pattaya has some great wreck dives. There are US Navy ships at 30 meters which are teeming with fish life. I've dived with schools of Baraccudas, large Batfish, Yellow-tailed fusiliers, Trevally's and I've seen huge stonefish, crab, nudibranchs and many more creatures that live in the ship wrecks in Pattaya. If you're considering a diving holiday in Pattaya, it would be my pleasure to welcome you to the diverse diving that we have here, from coral reefs to World War II Ship Wrecks.
Happy Scuba Holidays in Thailand !

Life in the UK as a customer services General Manager was good, but I knew that it could get better !
Just a few years ago, I came to Thailand looking for a career change, and found that change, in Scuba Diving Instruction. I met 'Scuba Steve' in Pattaya. He completed my PADI Divemaster training for me and helped me to become a Padi Open Water Scuba Instructor. He completed my training by teaching my Emergency First Response Instructor course.
Since then, I've worked as a PADI Scuba Instructor, and travelled around Thailand, diving some of my favourite dive spots like Phuket, Koh Samui, Koh Chang and Pattaya. Pattaya is home to me now, and I enjoy living and diving in these warm clear waters, with a variety of flora and forna that would grace any diver's log book. I have always been attracted by the sea and underwater world and I enjoy sailing and snorkelling since I was a kid. I later discovered scuba diving in Asia when I travelled with some friends to the Perenthian islands in Malaysia where I passed the Open Water course. After this first great experience, I have taken the opportunity to dive during my several overseas trips when possible : Thailand, Philippines, Turkey, Mexico offered me some unforgettable marine life explorations.
Today, being settled down for a 2 years contract in Thailand in the automotive industry, I decided to use this opportunity to take a step further in my diving development by obtaining the PADI Divemaster certification with Steve and Private Scuba. I already gained a lot of experience from him and all the different diving supervisions and training assistances I was able to undertake as part of my divemaster training.
Now freshly certified, I would be more than happy to welcome you to our great Private Scuba team to make you discover Pattaya dive spots diversity (especially the inevitable amazing wreck dives). I am not "little Cousteau" yet, but we would definitely have fun to dive together.
Welcome to Private Scuba Diving in Pattaya, Thailand!
My concern before the diving was safety. I wanted to feel as comfortable as one possibly can with all the safety aspects.
Steve showed such high professional attitude and focused on every detail throughout the teaching that he built up an enormous trust, and combined with his great and kind personality he made the whole diving experience absolutely outstanding.
In addition I want to congratulate Steve for his great choice of diving team, boat, and staff. Steves’ whole organisation and the logistics around the diving also made the trip very enjoyable.
Having had the privilege of Steve by my side, both in and out of water, during my first diving week he made it all into one of the most memorable, exciting and fun things I have done… and I will never stop diving!
Thank you very much Steve" - Gabriella, Sweden
When I arrived in Thailand from Europe, there was little else on my mind other than to try Scuba Diving. Having done my research, I knew there were some great shipwrecks to be seen near to the islands of Pattaya, but first I needed to become familiar with the basic safety of Scuba Diving.
From my first dive to completing the Advanced Open Water, Steve made the experience both safe, thorough and great fun. The personal attention made my first diving experience in to a passion that I will always carry with me.
Thanks a million, Steve. - Borkur, Iceland
Having completed my Open Water Scuba Course last year with Private Scuba, I had another opportunity to visit Pattaya and do some more scuba diving. I contacted Steve and he organised a few days diving for me at short notice.
I was particularly looking forward to diving the ship wrecks in Pattaya, and I decided to make the wreck dives as part of the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course. Steve got me three wreck dives during my Advanced Course including the HTMS Khram and the HTMS Kood.
The other dives for my course included a Deep Dive, Navigation Dive and the Peak Performance Buoyancy adventure dive. I had a lot of fun and the whole package was efficient, professional and relatively inexpensive.
The Private Scuba Team certainly know how to offer great scuba diving in Pattaya and PADI Scuba Courses that are full of adventure and excitement.
Thanks Steve ..... next time I would like to make the Wreck Specialty Course. - Fadi, Dubai
