PADI SCUBA DIVER - Pattaya One Day Diving Course is now available

If you're planning to take a scuba course while you're on holiday in Pattaya but have limited spare time, your best choice could be the PADI Scuba Diver Certification. This shortened PADI Diver Course takes less time to complete than the full Open Water Diver Course because it only covers the first few sections. Student Scuba Divers will participate in three out of the five sections for knowledge development & pool sessions and the first two lessons from the four Open Water Training Dives. Therefore, this 'limited' Scuba Diving Certification is ideal if you expect to always make future shallow dives with a professional guide, or if you're short on time during your dive vacation. This PADI Diving Course is a great way to get a Scuba Certificate with an option to make the Scuba Upgrade later to the full diving license of PADI Open Water Diver.

What will I learn in the PADI Scuba Diver Course ?
During this course, dive students learn the basics of Scuba Diving through knowledge development, mastering scuba skills in a controlled environment and then repeating them in the two Open Water Dives. Some of the topics that will be covered by your Diving Instructor during your Scuba Lesson will include;

  • Breathing Underwater through a Scuba Regulator
  • Buoyancy Control, making comfortable Ascents and Descents
  • Streamlining your Swimming Skills and Buddy Diving Techniques
  • The Diving Environment and Aquatic Life Behaviour
  • Preventing common problems Underwater
  • An Introduction to Boat Diving

The underwater world will keep you coming back for more fun and adventure every chance you get!

How long does it take to complete the Scuba Diver Course ?
It's possible to complete the theory, pool skills and two dives in one day. The theory consists of learning information from a dive manual, video or multi-media and three short multiple choice quizzes. There are three corresponding pool or confined water skill sessions, and the course is completed by making two open water dives to a maximum of twelve meters. Therefore, most student divers take two days to complete the course at a more relaxed pace.

photo of padi study materialsDo I need any extra Dive Equipment or Study Materials for the training?
The study materials required for the lessons are excluded from the price* because many divers are now learning to dive online using PADI 'eLearning' facility. However, the PADI Diving Manuals and training materials can easily be purchased from the Dive Center.

The Diving Equipment that's required for Scuba Divers to use during the course is included in the price. Standard Scuba Equipment would usually include a Mask & Snorkel, Scuba Wetsuit, Buoyancy Control Device (BCD), Scuba Regulator set, Scuba Tanks, Weight System and Diving Fins.

Extra personal diving equipment that you may wish to purchase for your scuba lessons could be a Dive Computer, Divers Watch, Dive Compass, Waterproof Camera, Dive Knife, Diving Gloves and a Dive Log Book which are also available from the Dive School.

What other exciting Scuba Adventures are available for Certified PADI Scuba Divers in Pattaya ?
The Scuba Diver Certification is a quick and easy way to start diving with an internationally recognized and respected Diving License. However, because there are limitations to this level, you may choose to upgrade to Open Water Diver which then allows you to Start Scuba Diving independently of an Instructor. You are also qualified to take the Equipment Specialist and Project AWARE Specialist certification courses.
