What will I learn during my PADI Rescue Course in Pattaya ?
The Rescue lessons will include the following topics;
- Self rescue
- Recognising and managing stress in other Divers
- Emergency management and equipment
- Rescuing panicked Divers
- Rescuing unresponsive Divers
How long does it take to become a PADI Rescue Diver ?
The Rescue course is comprised of knowledge development, confined water training skills and Open Water Rescue Scenarios. Most dive students will take 3 days to complete their rescue training and the Emergency First Response CPR & First Aid Course will take less than a full day to complete, if this certification is additionally required.

Do I need any extra dive equipment or study materials ?
The study materials required for the course, are excluded from the price* however they are available from the Dive Shop, and include all of the study materials that are required for the Rescue Diver Certification. Your PADI Instructor will guide you through the learning process, and teach the rescue skills in both confined and open water.
The Basic Dive Gear that is used for the training in the Rescue course is included in the price, and some of the extra Rescue eequipment that you may use during the skills training will include a Pocket Mask, a First Aid Kit, an underwater Compass, an Emergency Action Plan, AED (automated external defibrillator), and emergency Oxygen Equipment.
What other PADI Courses are available when I'm a Rescue Diver ?
A Rescue Diver's ability to handle Scuba Diving emergencies, can be improved by taking the PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider course. With a certification in Rescue Diving, CPR and first aid, and Emergency Oxygen provision, you will feel comfortable and confident to assist or manage almost any diving emergency. The Rescue Diver certification is also a pre-requisite for divers with ambitions of taking the professional route, and becoming a PADI Divemaster.
