Sea Anemone

A symbiotic relationship exists between amphiprion percula (clownfish) and sea anemones. Protection from predators and supplying extra food sources provides benefits for both species. Energetic fish activity improves water movement and aeration around sea anemone tentacles and the fish's excrement increases nitrogen levels which encourages algae growth. The result aids anemone tissue regeneration.
