What is required to start my PADI Open Water Course ?
You should be in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water. (minimum age: 10 years)

What will I learn in the PADI Open Water Diver Course ?

How long does it take to complete the Open Water Scuba Diving course ?
It's possible to complete the theory, pool skills and four ocean dives in three days. The theory consists of learning information from a dive manual, video or multi-media, five short multiple choice quizes and a final exam. There are five corresponding pool or confined water skill sessions, and the course is completed by making four open water dives to a maximum of eighteen meters. Therefore, most student divers take four days to complete the course at a more relaxed pace.

Do I need any extra dive equipment or study materials ?
The study materials required for the course are excluded from the price* because many divers are now learning to dive online, by completing the Open Water Diver knowledge development sections, using PADI's 'eLearning' facility. However the PADI manuals and Scuba Diving materials are easily available from the Dive School.

The Dive Equipment that's required for the scuba course is included in the price. This Basic Scuba Gear would include a Scuba Mask, Scuba Wetsuit, Buoyancy Control Device (BCD), Scuba Regulators, Scuba Tank, Weights and Dive Fins.

Extra Scuba Diving Accessories that you may wish to purchase during your dive classes could be a Dive Computer, Dive Watch, Diving Compass, Underwater Camera, Divers Knife, Dive Gloves, Scuba T Shirt and a Logbook, which are available from the Dive Shop.
