Emergency First Response - The Benefits;
Life can be 'unpredictable' at times !
Emergency Responders' are prepared and confident to act in an emergency. By knowing what to do, and who to call, they 'can' save lives. EFR students learn valuable skills and knowledge that is the foundation for other medical training programmes, such as the EFR Care for Children course, the PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider course, Automated External Defibrillator use (AED), and the PADI Rescue Diver Course.
EFR Care for Children - The Care for Children course teaches the lay rescuer how to provide emergency care for children (aged 1 to 8) and infants less than one year old.
The training may include CPR, AED and First Aid, for medical emergencies that children face, preventing common injuries and illnesses in children, and how the emotional aspect of caring for children is different than adults.
Emergency Oxygen Provider - Providing emergency oxygen in the event of a diving accident may be crucial for a positive outcome.
This PADI specialty course develops the rescuers' techniques in equipment set up, providing oxygen to a breathing/non-breathing diver, and service and maintenance of the emergency oxygen equipment.
Automated External Defibrillator - The AED course represents entry-level training to recognise the warning signs of Sudden Cardiac Arrest and administer first aid using Basic Life Support techniques.
Automated External Defibrillator's can extend the window of opportunity, while rescuers activate the local emergency medical services, (EMS) and/or arrange for evacuation to the nearest appropriate medical facility.
Rescue Diver - Many divers describe the padi rescue course as 'challenging' yet extremely 'rewarding'. The demands of the rescue training lessons is what makes this invaluable experience the most 'serious' fun diving, you'll ever have.
